This new TV advert from O2 sees the mobile phone network encourage viewers to be the England teams armour during the 2019 Rugby World Cup tournament. Featuring the slogan ‘Wear The Rose’, this big-budget ad video shows England rugby players putting on full Samurai armour with the English Rose on before heading in battle.
The commercial features players Courtney Lawes and Owen Farrell riding off on horseback as the film then morphs into footage of the England team in their more traditional white rugby kits.
The advert finishes with regular O2 voiceover artist Sean Bean telling you that “Your support is England’s armour. Be their armour, wear the rose”. If only he’d given an addition rousing team talk finishing with the line “Do it for England!”.
