Here’s a look at the new Christmas TV advert offering from Morrisons who, as the ad tells us, are “Making Christmas Special”.
Although some of the viewers on YouTube have been commenting on the number of members attending family gatherings shown in the video and how reality may be rather different this Christmas, I think we’ll give the benefit of the doubt and assume they’re just a large household or bubble.
Advertisers must strike a balance right now between being responsible by not showing anyone breaking the ever-changing restrictions, and not making their commercials too depressing. After all, many of us will be watching TV to try to escape reality, not be constantly reminded of it.
Anyway, on to the soundtrack:
Advert Music: Levitating (feat. DaBaby).
Singer: Dua Lipa.
Stream or download from Amazon.
The music playing during this Christmas Morrisons advert is a 2020 song by the English singer Dua Lipa that’s titled ‘Levitating’ and features US rapper DaBaby.
