An amazing 37 years after the Steven Spielberg movie E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial originally entertained cinema-goers, the little alien has finally returned to Earth in this epic Xfinity Christmas commercial.
This full-length version of the ‘Holiday Reunion’ ad spot shows E.T. stopping by to visit a now-adult Elliott who has children of his own.
Despite having mastered space travel, E.T. still appears impressed with the technological advances we humans have made in recent decades, including the internet, virtual reality dinosaurs, tablets, and smart televisions. The family still, however, make time to enjoy some good old fashion snow with their house guest before he heads back to his home planet.
Advert Music: E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Soundtrack.
Composer: John Williams.

Other than when we hear Bing Crosby singing ‘White Christmas’ on the TV, the rest of the music featured in this year’s Xfinity E.T Christmas commercial appears to be music from the E.T. movie soundtrack, which was composed and conducted by John Williams.
You can watch how this Holiday Reunion Xfinity commercial was made in this special behind the scenes video:
Much of this new E.T. video footage is now also being featured in a Christmas UK advert for Sky television.
