Where was this new Northern Lights Asda Christmas advert filmed?
Supermarket chain Asda’s new heart-warming ‘Let’s make Christmas extra special’ festive TV ad campaign video used filming locations in the Lancashire village of Tyldsley, which is situated just outside of Wigan.
The advert was shot at this location back in September and, as a way of saying thanks to the local residents, Asda will be assisting the community in hosting a Christmas event in December.
If you’d like to know more about this Asda adverts soundtrack and who composed the music, we have those details for you here.
Launching on our screens in early November, the film follows an inquisitive young girl named Tilly who’s walking home on a cold winters evening with her brother Jack. As the pair get home Tilly gazes up to see the amazing natural wonder that is the Northern Lights.
With a twinkle in her eye, Tilly remembers something her grandfather told her once about Santa’s leftover magic, so she begins devising a plan to capture that magic from the night sky. As the story progresses, the village is transformed into a winter wonderland where an ordinary man is turned into a snowman and a local cat gets dressed in a fabulous new jumper.
This particular Asda Christmas advert will premiere on television during ITV’s The X Factor: Celebrity and will then air regularly in the build-up to the big day.
