Warburtons will be hoping Hollywood actor Robert De Niro can do for their Bagels sales what The Muppets did for their Giant Crumpet with this new ‘From Our Family To Yours’ TV ad campaign.
The advert begins with Mr Warburton’s secretary referencing the Bananarama song ‘Robert De Niro’s Waiting’, before the Goodfellas star enters the office with a couple of his mafia cronies. After hearing about Warburtons plans to muscle in on the bagel business, Robert plans to use force to repackage the Bolton-based brand’s product as his own ‘GoodBagels’.
At the end of the video, Mr Warburton says it “Sounds like a great movie”, to which De Niro replies “What movie?”. From there the advert doesn’t end well for the Bolton boss, thanks to De Niro’s henchmen and a roll of gaffer tape.
