British airline Virgin Atlantic has just released this brand-new TV advert for 2022 to 2024 that invites viewers to see the world differently, just like their own captains and crew.
The commercial features an eye-catching and diverse cast list of men and women who’re all rightly proud of their appearance and who they are.
One of the advert’s cast members, the bearded man we see in the wheelchair, is a dancer, disability fitness instructor, presenter, and actor Kris Saunders.

This Virgin Atlantic commercial song is a tune titled ‘I Am What I Am’ that’s performed by a singer called Lady Blackbird, which is the stage name of LA musician and vocalist Marley Munroe.
Lady Blackbird’s cover of I Am What I Am, a song that was first released in 1983 by Gloria Gaynor, appears to have been recorded specifically for this commercial and hasn’t yet been released for download.
Since its original recording, this song, which includes such inspirational lyrics as “Your life is a sham ’til you can shout out
I am what I am”, has been covered by a long list of singers, including Welsh diva Shirley Bassey.
