Opening with the lyrics “You’re just too good to be true” and continuing “I love you baby”, this Tesco Mobile advert song is a cover of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, a track that was originally performed and made famous by the American singer Frankie Valli.
However, the vocals in this advert’s version were recorded by the Norwegian pop-rock music band a-ha’s lead singer Morten Harket, who released his cover of the song for the soundtrack to the 1993 comedy movie Coneheads.
