This new Tesco Christmas TV advert for features a classic festive song, a time-traveling delivery driver, a bit of Dickens, and even Bullseye.
The ad shows a Tesco online shopping delivery driver traveling back in time in his van Back To The Future-style, first arriving during Victorian times in a very Dickensian street scene where he brings “Food from the future”.
From there the actor arrives in Downing Street during wartime, then appears on the 1980’s gameshow Bullseye, before returning home to the present day to spend Christmas with his family.

This year’s Tesco Christmas advert song is American girl group The Ronettes version of that classic festive tune ‘Sleigh Ride’. The three-piece female vocal group recorded this cover in 1963, with the single having been produced by Phil Spector.
Sleigh Ride was originally written back in 1946 as a light orchestra standard that was composed by Leroy Anderson.
