‘Refreshing the Nation’ is the theme of this advert for Strongbow, celebrating the best of Britain during summertime, whatever the weather, come rain or shine.
It makes a change now to watch footage of people drinking at a pub that’s not part of a television news report, as this ad shows people enjoying cider inside and out, and even down the park.
We don’t know exactly when this commercial was filmed, but judging by how close together everyone is, we’d guess it was sometime last summer.

US rock group The Lovin’ Spoonful achieved a number 1 hit in America with this song in 1966.
