This year’s Holiday Sonos commercial song is a cover of ‘Wonderful Christmastime’, a festive tune that was originally written and recorded in 1979 by the English musician, singer, and Beatles member Paul McCartney. The cover version playing in this Sonos advert was recorded by The Shins and can also be found on the compilation album ‘Holidays Rule’.
Featuring the lyrics “The party’s on, the feeling’s here. That only comes, this time of year”, the original version reached number 47 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 on the UK charts.
