Based on author Jane Austen’s incomplete final novel, this Sanditon ITV TV series represents and the first time the story has been brought to a full television audience.
Where was it filmed?
The Sanditon ITV filming locations include sites in and around Bristol, with the coastal scenes having been filmed at Brean Beach on the west coast near the English city.
With Sanditon itself being a fictional seaside town, the mansion featured on-screen is The National Trust’s 17th-century house and garden of Dyrham Park, which is again located in the South-West of England near Bristol and Bath. You can get a behind the scenes look at filming, along with cast interviews in the above Dyrham Park YouTube video posted by The National Trust. As viewers of the series may have already noticed, this period drama uses a mixture of real locations, buildings and streets, along with CGI and green screen technology.
