Irish cider and lager brand Rockshore has just released this amusing new advert for which they’ve titled ‘Refreshingly Irish’.
Starring an actor playing a character named Rocko who we see singing and playing a turquoise piano while wearing a similar colour suit, this Rockshore Lager commercial features some typical Irish banter between friends and of course doesn’t take itself too seriously.
As you’ve probably noticed, much of this Rockshore ad takes its inspiration from boyband music videos of the 90s, which leads us on to the soundtrack.
What’s the Rockshore commercial song?
Advert Music: As Long As You Love Me (cover).
Artist: Backstreet Boys.
Stream or download from Amazon.
Year of Release: 1997.
The song playing in this Rockshore Lager advert is a reworded cover of a tune titled ‘As Long As You Love Me’, a song which was originally recorded by American boy band the Backstreet Boys.
Released as a single back in 1997 from the group’s second studio album ‘Backstreet’s Back’, this track peaked at number 3 on the UK singles chart and became one of their most popular songs.
If you fancy a little nostalgia or are simply too young to remember this song first time around, here’s a look at its official VEVO music video:
