This latest 2019 to 2020 advert from Apple for the iPhone 11 and Pro focuses on data privacy and talks about how there’s more private information on your phone right now than in your home.
Set to a piece of piano music (more information on that below) and while the video shows us impressive aerial views of a city at night, the commercial voice-over actress goes on to remind us of some of those key pieces of personal information stored on our phones, such as our location, our messages, and our heart rate after exercise. The ad concludes by telling us “These are private things, personal things, and they should belong to you. Simple as that”.
This Privacy on iPhone commercial song is a piece of piano music performed by the American composer and pianist Dustin O’Halloran. Titled ‘An Ending, A Beginning’, this classical tune was first released in 2012 as part of the artist’s ‘Transcendentalism’ EP.
