Pepsi Commercial with Messi, Pogba, and Ronaldinho

Footballers Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, and Ronaldinho take part in a game of ‘Nutmeg Royale’ in this Pepsi commercial which features the tagline ‘Thirsty For More’.

Although Pepsi doesn’t appear to be an official FIFA World Cup 2022 sponsor, the timing of this ad’s release very much coincides with the build-up to this winter’s big tournament.

Unlike some other recent soccer-themed adverts for brands and broadcasters, this Pepsi ad does look to be set in the World Cup’s host nation as the all-star trio of players compete in a battle royale of nutmegs that mixes the real and gaming worlds, with a team of locals surprisingly coming out on top. That is until it’s time to swap shirts.
