Paddy McGuinness Jackpotjoy Advert – Hugs

Comedian, actor and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness stars in this funny new TV advert for Jackpotjoy, where the Take Me Out and Top Gear host is on congratulatory hugging duties. Although it’s the losers who’re probably more in need of a warm embrace, this ad is all about winning hugs, but Paddy says “I can’t hug ’em all’.

So as he’s only able to be in one place at a time, this current face of Jackpotjoy enlists the help of anyone he can fit into a blue tracksuit to help him share the love. Those we watch dishing out the hugs include some guys who look nothing like him, a very large dog, and a blow-up doll. But even these stand-ins are more effective than the Paddy hologram, which lacks that element of physical contact.

Advert Music: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me. Artist: Mel Carter.

The Jackpotjoy advert song playing in the background of this latest ad video is a track called ‘Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me’. This tune was originally recorded in 1952 by Karen Chandler, but it’s a 1965 cover by American actor and singer Mel Carter that provides the soundtrack to this Jackpotjoy TV ad. The song features the appropriate lyrics “Hold me, hold me. And never let me go”.
