The NZ Post are currently running this new Christmas ad that promotes them as ‘New Zealnd’s favourite courier’.
The commercial shows an NZ Post worker delivering packages to different members of the same family, each of whom wish to keep the deliveries a secret from each other. In order to not spoil the surprise, the mother, father, and even the kids tell a few untruths, resulting in their noses growing longer like Pinocchio. The ad concludes with the message ‘Keeping Ho-Ho Hush Hush’.

This year’s NZ Post commercial song is a choir singing a cover version of ‘Little Lies’, which was originally written and recorded in 1987 by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. Featuring the lyrics “Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies”, this song is taken from the group’s fourteenth studio album ‘Tango in the Night’ and peaked at number 9 on the New Zealand singles chart.
