Italian food brand Napolina has just begun airing this new ‘Food Created with Love’ TV advert that features two opera singers performing a duet, while we watch a man and woman prepare and then eat a tasty, romantic meal.
This Napolina commercial video concludes with a display of the brand’s products, including linguine, a pack of tinned chopped tomatoes, a bottle of olive oil and a bottle of extra virgin olive oil.
What’s the music in the advert?
This Napolina advert song is a piece of classical music that features a duet between female and male opera singers. Although the male vocals initially sounded to us a bit like those of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, we now know that this song is performed by British singers Lawrence Smith and Cecily Redman.
This ‘Ti Amo’ track was written especially for the Napolina TV commercial by London-based artist Alexander Teller. Although we know the title ‘Ti Amo’ translates as ‘I Love You’, our Italian isn’t anywhere near good enough to attempt a full translation of the lyrics into English.
In addition to this new TV ad campaign, Napolina are also currently sponsoring the ITV show Gino’s Italian Escape. As you’ve probably guessed from the name, the series is an Italian cooking and travel-based programme starring chef and TV personality Gino D’Acampo. Airing Monday evenings at 8:00pm, this latest series is titled Gino’s Hidden Italy and sets out to showcase traditional cooking methods and local ingredients from lesser-known parts of Italy.
