Titled ‘If Homes Could Talk’, this memorable new TV advert for MyBuilder sees the ‘find-a-tradesperson’ service rework a classic Tom Jones song.
The new 40-second MyBuilder.com ad shows houses all singing about the various problems they have and the things that need fixing within them.
The lyrics featured in the soundtrack include “I need a tradesman (oh yes). But where to find someone trusting. . . My, my, my, my builder”. The video concludes with the voice-over saying “Not just any builder. My Builder”.

The music that this My Builder advert song is based on is titled ‘Delilah’, a tune that was recorded in 1968 by Welsh singing legend and current Voice UK coach, Tom Jones. This single was taken from Sir Tom’s album of the same name and reached number 2 on the UK charts.
MyBuilder says the advert “centres around the truth that the best tradespeople take pride in a job done right and that they don’t just work for the client, they work for the good of the house, too.” The commercial was directed by Noah Harris who used traditional puppeteering and animation techniques and it was produced by Agile Films.
