Here’s some great news for reality TV fans looking for something to heat up their Winter as ITV2 releases this new advert trailer for Love Island 2020, which starts this January.
Yes, that’s correct, you Love Island fans won’t have to wait until the summer for your next fix of the action as the hit show now switches to two series per year. As this is one of ITV’s most-watched programmes, the biggest surprise really is that the channel didn’t make this move sooner.
Love Island narrator Iain Stirling provides the voiceover for the trailer as the Scottish comedian instructs winter to “Do one”. Presenter Caroline Flack then appears in the video to say “Sorry winter, you’re just not our type”.
The Winter 2020 series of Love Island will be filmed in the all-new location of a villa in South Africa, ensuring plenty of sunshine and hot weather to help viewers banish those January blues. Filming will then return to Europe for ITV2’s Summer 2020 series.

This 2020 Winter Love Island advert song is a tune called ‘Lose Control’ that was recorded by the Italian music production trio Meduza. Released for download in October 2019, the single features English singer-songwriter Becky Hill and the British trio Goodboys, making it to number 11 here on the UK charts.
The addition of a Winter series of Love Island to ITV2’s schedule should give the channels viewing figures a huge boost in early 2020, with the Summer version already being the most-watched programme of 2019 for adults aged 16-34, across any channel.
