Who’s the Johnnie Walker commercial actor?
The man starring in this new Johnnie Walker Black Label ad is the American actor Jonathan Majors. The 33-year-old is currently best known for starring in the 2019 film The Last Black Man in San Francisco and he more recently played the character He Who Remains in the Disney+ action series Loki.
In the 20-second advert, we see the actor Jonathan Majors telling us what happens to whiskey when it’s left in a barrel for 12 years, like how it gets richer and smoother until it tastes “damn good”.

Opening with the lyrics “Sometimes I feel I’ve got to run away”, Tainted Love was then covered in 1981 by English synthpop duo Soft Cell, with their version topping the singles chart in the UK and other countries and reaching number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Tainted Love was then covered again in 2001 by American hard rock band Marilyn Manson.
