Things get seriously competitive in this commercial for the new iPad Air which shows two students each using Apple’s latest tablet to boost their election campaigns.
Each competing to win their school’s election, the ad spot shows a boy named Max and a girl named Emma using their new iPad Air’s, which are powered by Apple’s M1 chip and come in a choice of five colors, to design increasingly effective promotional, vote-winning campaign material.
But just as the election winner is about to be announced, there’s a twist to this advert’s storyline as we discover the most votes were in fact won by a third entrant, Sonia, who of course also used a new iPad Air to power her campaign.
So in this world, there’s no need to spread misinformation or criticize your opponents in order to win an election, just create the most colorful and eye-catching graphics.
The commercial then ends with Apple’s tagline ‘Your next computer is not a computer’.
