Begining like something out of an apocalyptic movie plot, this Ikea commercial sees a gigantic ball of waste speeding through space, seemingly on a collision course with Earth.
Titled ‘Fortune Favours the Frugal’, this 60-second Ikea advert later shows the ball breaking up into its smaller parts, objects disappearing one by one as people on Earth make more environmentally friendly and sustainable choices.
Eventually, all that reaches our planet’s surface is a single plastic bottle, which has barely touched the ground before being picked up by a child and stuck right in the recycling.
Disaster averted. Now all that rubbish is space junk and some other planet’s problem.
