Following on from the fashion retailer’s recent Fall-Winter advert and set to a catchy tune you can discover below, this H&M Holiday commercial invites viewers back inside the magical world of their Brasserie Hennes cafe.
Titled ‘Unwrap The Magic’, this year’s H&M Christmas advert shows Dutch model Jill Kortleve entering Brasserie Hennes where she finds the cafe transformed into a disco-inspired glamorous snowscape ready for the holiday season. We then see lots of models wearing sparkly party dresses and outfits as everyone begins dancing and celebrating in the snow.

Joining Jill Kortleve in the cast of this H&M Christmas advert is Chloë Sevigny, Anderson .Paak, Paloma Elsesser, Mica Argañaraz, Mona Tougaard, Lise Sauve, Adut Akech, Anna Ling, Monica Love, Jordan Barrett, Xu Meen, and Jeremiah Berko Fordjour.
It’s a shame that having made such a great festive commercial, with such a good choice of soundtrack, H&M is now mostly choosing to only show a much shorter version during TV ad breaks. Anyway, let’s get on to that tune:

Taken from the album ‘Linda Scott Presents Starlight Starbright’ and a number 3 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, this track was released in 1961 and is actually a cover of a song originally written in 1932 by Oscar Hammerstein II.
The combination of I’ve Told Every Little Star’s classic sound while not being too well known makes it an excellent choice of song for this H&M holiday commercial. This track also featured in an audition scene during the 2001 neo-noir film Mulholland Drive where Linda Scott’s recording was lip-synched to by actress Melissa George.
