This moving new 2020 TV commercial from Facebook promotes the covid support hub section of their website/app and features video clips filmed by people around the world during the coronavirus lockdown.
After we’re shown videos of men, women, and children struggling through the crisis, while still finding ways to spread hope and happiness to others, the video tells viewers “We’re never lost if we can find each other. If you need help or can offer it. . . facebook.com/covidsupport”.
The song playing in this new Facebook commercial is a poem set to a piece of piano music that’s titled ‘People’s Faces’.
This track is performed by British poet and spoken word performer Kate Tempest. People’s Faces features on Kate’s ‘The Book Of Traps And Lessons’ album and was released last summer.
The London artist has previously been named as a Next Generation Poet by the Poetry Book Society, which is only a once in a decade accolade, and she was more recently nominated for a Brit Award in 2018 in the category of Best Female Solo Performer.
