Extra Gum Commercial – All Coming Back to Me Now – Song by Céline Dion

This new ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now – Kissing’ TV commercial for Extra Chewing Gum pretty much sums up how many of us are or will be feeling as lockdowns and restrictions finally begin to ease.

In this epic 2-minute 34-second version of Wrigley’s ‘For When It’s Time – Get Your Ding Back’ Extra Gum advert, we see men and women tentatively emerging from their homes after months of isolation, as it gradually dawns on them that they can finally meet up again.

With no time to waste getting dressed or made-up, the second half of the ad spot shows hundreds of actors rushing to a park where they all begin kissing and hugging like it’s 2021.

Less romantically, another group of people uses their newfound freedom to break back into their work’s office building after months of video calling and working from home.

In a very clever choice of soundtrack and I’d like to also think in tribute to its writer, the late great Jim Steinman, this Extra Gum commercial song is ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’.

There’s some debate over who this great song was originally written for, Meat Loaf or a female vocalist, but the version you hear playing in this Wrigley’s chewing gum advert is the Canadian singer Celine Dion’s hit cover, which was released as a single in 1996 from her fourth English-language studio album ‘Falling into You’.

Here’s the music video to Celine’s version from her official YouTube channel:

It’s All Coming Back to Me Now was first released back in 1989 by the American female pop group Pandora’s Box and was later released in 2006 as a rock duet by Meat Loaf and Norwegian singer Marion Raven, taken from the album ‘Bat Out of Hell III’.
