For this brand-new October ‘Best of Times – Beyond Limits’ TV advert, BT has mixed a modern music track with the words of Charles Dickens, spoken by a young girl as she recites the opening lines of Tale of Two Cities.
Following the recent launch of the telecommunication company’s new simplified logo, this Autumn 2019 TV ad campaign tells us how BT are working to give 5 million kids the tech skills they need. Some of the lines taken from Dickens ‘Tale of Two Cities’ we hear the young actress speaking include “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” and “It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness” which, despite having been written back in 1859, still feel like they could have been inspired by our modern-day world and current affairs.
Advert Song: Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2.
Artist: Stormzy (feat. MNEK).

The BT advert music playing in the background of this latest ad is an instrumental version of the song ‘Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 2’. The original tune with vocals was recorded in 2017 by English rapper and singer Stormzy, and features Brit and Grammy-award-winning producer, songwriter and singer MNEK. This song was released as the fourth single taken from Stormzy’s debut album, ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’.
