ITV and the BBC launch their streaming service BritBox with this new advert trailer, which features a selection of British actors and music by Blue Monday.
The UK launch of BritBox sees BBC and ITV make many of their most popular shows, from costume to comedy, drama to detectives, available all in one place free for the first 30 days, then for a fee of £5.99 per month. This, of course, will put the service in direct competition with the likes of Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
This 2019 BritBox advert song is 80’s synth-pop hit Blue Monday that was recorded by Manchester-based band New Order. The track was first released in 1983 but has since had 1988 and 95 versions released.
This same tune was featured last year in a BT TV ad campaign for their combined mobile 4G and home fibre broadband packages.
