Who sings the B&Q Good Home advert song? – ’74–’75

What’s the name of the song playing in the new summer B&Q Good Home advert and who sings it?

B&Q promote their Good Home range of decorating, home improvement and bathroom products, including toilets and showers, in a new ‘Always Simplifying’ TV ad campaign that began airing on recently our screens in June.

Advert Music: ’74–’75 (Seventy-Four, Seventy-Five). Band: The Connells.

Opening with the lyrics “Got no reason for comin’ to me”, the soundtrack to this latest B&Q commercial is provided by American indie rock band The Connells with their 1993 hit single ’74–’75. Despite never really breaking through in the United States, this chilled out tune became far more successful in Europe and reached number 14 on the UK charts.

As you may have noticed, the DIY chain hasn’t yet got around to uploading the Good Home advert video to their YouTube channel, but we’ll keep an eye out and add it to this page if it becomes available.
