It looks like there’ll be no signing boxes out for delivery in the Amazon Holiday commercial as the online retailer swaps their usual upbeat festive ad formula for a deeper and more relevant film.
This year’s Amazon Christmas ad spot follows the story of a young female ballet dancer having her hard work pay off as she’s awarded the lead role in her academy’s winter performance.
Unfortunately though the girl’s joy is short-lived as the show gets canceled because of Covid-19, understandably leaving her very disappointed and upset. However, seeing how much the show’s cancelation has affected her, the girl’s family get to work preparing and promotion a solo outdoor performance by this special ballerina.
Of course, Amazon plays a small part in making this unique nighttime performance happen, with the ballerinas father using their app to order a five star reviewed torch to illuminate the show.

Composer Peter Mauder provides this Holiday 2020 Amazon commercial song with a classical music cover of the British rock band Queen’s early ’90s hit ‘The Show Must Go On’.
Although the original Queen version of this song is of course available to download, we haven’t yet seen this orchestral version released as a single.
