This new ‘Good For You’ advert video for Alpro plant-based drinks and foods introduces us to Simon, a man who’s looking to get fitter and healthier through exercise and an improved diet.
Starring that regular UK TV advert actor who I believe has previously starred in campaigns for such brands as Shreddies, Heinz Baked Beans, Asda and others, is shown making a post-run drink with some fruit and a helping of unsweetened almond Alpro. Then while out doing his run/walk thing in the park, Simon is overtaken by the triple record holder Jamaican track athlete Usain Bolt. But just when Usain thinks he’s out for a casual jog, Simon gives an extra burst of speed to win this impromptu unofficial ‘race’.
The voice-over we hear on this 2019 Alpro commercial appears to be Curry PC World regular, comedian and actor Hugh Dennis.
