The plot of Aldi’s latest TV advert video required someone to do some running and jumping down a city street as they race to catch a bus.
So with Olympic triathlete brothers Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee available, the produces naturally chose a non-athlete actor to get sweaty, as Alistair watches on while sat on the bus.
This April to May 2019 Aldi advert song is Bonnie Tyler’s classic rock balled Holding Out For A Hero, which the Welsh singer recorded in 1984 for the American musical film Footloose. The song was written by the American composer and lyricist Jim Steinman, who worked on Meat Loaf’s hit albums Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II.
