What’s the name of the great song playing in this Mercedes Vans advert and who sings it?
The first time I heard this piece of music I thought it may have been a new Amy Macdonald release, but no. The soundtrack to this Mercedes-Benz Vans ‘Keeping You Moving’ TV ad is actually a song called My Silver Lining that was recorded by Swedish indie-folk duo First Aid Kit. The Stockholm group, whose lineup consists of singer-songwriter sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, released the single from their 2014 album Stay Gold.
You can download the full-length version of My Silver Lining from iTunes and Amazon.
Those of you with good memories may recall this same tune being used in an ad a few years ago for the Renault KADJAR. You may even have noticed this Mercedes-Benz Vans video is not an entirely original production, but rather an updated commercial released for February, 2019. The video again shows some of the many real-world everyday ways people of Britain use the companies vans to provide services and do their essential work.
